We are looking for a Director of Finance Operations to lead the transformation of our global finance operations, driving standardization, efficiency, and the adoption of technology and data across the organization. This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of the CFO function, with a clear mandate to streamline processes, strengthen governance, and continuously improve finance operations across countries and regions.

What you'll do:

  • Finance Operations Leadership: Lead and develop global finance operations, ensuring efficient, scalable, and high-quality service delivery across regions and service hubs.
  • Process Standardization: Drive standardization and reduce process deviations, strengthening governance, transparency, and performance management.
  • Technology & Transformation: Advance the use of technology, automation, and AI to enable smarter finance processes and decision-making.
  • Service & Performance Management: Establish clear service models, KPIs, and oversee performance, including management of external service providers.
  • Compliance & Control: Ensure strong compliance across tax, statutory reporting, internal controls and audits.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted partner to the CFO and Finance Leadership Team in driving the Future of Finance agenda.

The position belongs to Elopak’s global Finance organization and can be based in Oslo, Mannheim, Montreal or Terneuzen. You will collaborate closely with international teams, service hubs, and external partners, and some moderate travel should be expected.

What you bring

• Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within multinational and matrix organizations
• Proven track record in finance transformation, process optimization and driving change across complex, international environments
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing international and cross-cultural teams
• Solid understanding of finance operations, shared service models and global compliance standards (e.g. IFRS)
• Strong understanding of digitalization, automation and AI, with the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical finance applications
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge, influence and drive change at senior levels

Why join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to shape how Finance Operations works in a global, purpose‑driven company committed to sustainability and long‑term value creation. You will have a clear mandate, senior sponsorship, and real influence on how finance supports Elopak’s future growth. In return, we offer a key leadership role within the CFO function, strong international exposure, and the opportunity to lead a meaningful transformation that will leave a lasting impact on the organization.
